ur father, Gerardo, came to the United States in his early twenties looking for adventure. Leaving a prominent family in the Philippines, he became "Jerry," just one of many immigrants.  With an American wife and family, he never returned.  Although his country was far away, his love for the ocean had never been forgotten, and every Sunday spent fishing on the Santa Cruz Wharf. Created as a single foundation paper-pieced block using EQ8. 71" x 52"
